Volcano Climbing

Guatemala is Volcano Blessed

Making its way around the Pacific continents, the Ring of Fire has left one of its most notorious scars here in Guatemala.

Along the Pacific slope 34 Mountains of Fire create the rugged backbone for the volcanic Highlands. Dominating the skyline of Central and Western Guatemala these volcanoes lift their cones to nearly 14,000 Ft. / 4000+ meters, mesmerizing us with their majestic beauty and conical shadows. These giants guard the countryside with their dominant presence, and though most of them lay quiet, there are still a few that continuously rumble, stir and shake from their fires within.

Being their violent nature that attracts many of us to them, you¨ll find to your delight that their glowing craters and sandy cones offer their summits as accessible ascents for novice and experienced hikers.

Climbing Volcanoes in Guatemala is an experience of a lifetime.

Our experience in this field and our commitment to your safety enables us to offer exciting, adventure loaded climbing ventures to the top of any of these summits!
