A special itinerary designed to deliver a little bit of everything taking you further into Guatemala! We start this trip in the colonial town of la Antigua with a day ascent of the famous Pacaya Volcano. Day two starts packing up our fully equipped 4X4 Land Cruisers, to embark on our week long circuit throughout Guatemala. Passing the cloud forest region, and visiting all the natural wonders in the area, we’ll push north dropping out of the mountains and down into the rolling limestone plateau of the jungle lowlands
This marks our entry into the realm of the great centers of Maya civilization. Boating across the Petexbatun lagoon we’ll visit the archeological site of Aguateca and camp in the jungle shores of the Yaxha lagoon. Sleep to the roar of howler monkeys and witness sighting crocodiles in the early morning mist. Last but not least, a complientary tour of the city of voices, the greatest center of the Maya civilization, Tikal, will be conducted by some of the areas most veteran guides.
